Silent Night

Gosh! not long to Christmas. Where did this year go?
Here is another cute Tilda. I feel so relaxed colouring these gorgeous little girls in.
I have coloured her with my Prismacolor pencils and a colorless blender. I usually use an odorless white spirits but thought I would try the blender pencil. They work quite good I think! I sat her on a Spellbinders die cut frame and blinged it up a bit.
I hope you like her. I'm really getting to like stamping (something very new to me). I didn't even put flowers on this. Most unusual for me as that is my passion...to make sculptured flowers. It is nice to have a change.

Cream Christmas card

This is a Christmas card I just finished. I used the Poinsettia border from Spellbinders and the Fancy tag also from Spellbinders.
I love this border die cut as it can be used in so many ways.
I hope you like it.

Friends birthday

Hello!
Today I have made a card for a friends birthday. As you can see I haven't got any design paper on it. Instead I have used gems to make it sparkle and a Spellbinders frame. Then of course there is Tilda sitting there. I love these colours together.
I used Prismacolor pencils to colour Tilda.

I thought it was time to get some Christmas cards together.
I have just received my Prismacolor pencils and have been practicing using them. I haven't mastered doing the shading on the white yet.

God grant me

Hi!
Today I have made a card with the serenity verse. (computer generated). The small frame is a die cut from a friend that made it from her Gazelle machine. The roses are hand made by me and are made from the small blossom punch. I have added a photo with my finger on it to show you the size. If you double click the pictures you will see a close up. I hope you like it.

Easel card

Hello!
I have had the worst week. The pipes burst in my bathroom wall. When I walked into my craft room the floor was flooded. What a mess. I had two large drawers and they were soaked on the bottom and are now all warped.
Thankfully my craft things were okay. So I have had the plumber in and the carpet man to dry the carpet. almost back to normal where I can at least do some craft.
This is my first easel card. I love these cards. The flowers are ones I have made from daisy punches. Spellbinders die in the middle that I stamped.

Clematis

This morning I thought I would have a go at making a Clematis. They come in such pretty colours. I have coloured this with my blue and mauve Tombows. It kind of looks like the real one.

My first stamped image

I really thought hard about putting this card on.
I have a long way to go before I can call myself a stamper but one has to start somewhere. This is so different to what I usually do. I did have fun and that's the main thing. I don't mind constructive criticism. That is how I will learn.

My Doug's card

Hello!
Today my DH is going to New Zealand for a well earned weeks holiday. I sure am going to miss him. Hopefully I can get a few Christmas cards done. He is going to see his 104 year old Mother and his daughters. I thought I would put a card on that is one of two he has made for his girls. The Kangaroo is a die cut from Bosskuts and the Poinsettia is from instructions on Peejays blog. Thanks Pam. This is a terrific flower to make and a lot of fun. Doug has made an excellent job of his card. He had forgotten to put paws on the little Joey before I photographed it but he has paws now. Still an awesome job. Hope you like it.
Blessings

Lemon Surprise

Hello again!
Todays card is a simple lemon card for any occasion. I love this colour. It is quickly becoming a favourite of mine. The flowers are ones I designed using the medium Kikyou punch. For the centres I used two of the small cosmos punches. A very simple flower. Then added a couple of ferns.

I used the spellbinders largest circle die
and the new Fancy tags. I love those tags.
I also used a snowflake punch from Punch Bunch.
The flowers are Poinsettia's. I got the instructions from a tutorial done by
Peejays-crafty-bits.

My Birthday and a little about me

Hi!
Yesterday was my birthday and I had a fantastic time with family.
I also got my haircut really short from long. I feel rather bald but just in time for our beautiful hot Queensland summers.
I got a new camera for my birthday so hopefully my photo's are going to look more clearer.
I also want to take the time to thank you for commenting on my blog. I love to see comments from other parts of the world and to also see your blogs.

My DH Doug has made me a beautiful card for my birthday. He is such a talented man.
When I work out my new camera I will put it on to show you.
He has been having treatment for cancer for the last year and has improved so much that he is now in remission. We are both cancer survivors. Two years ago I had a double mastectomy for breast cancer. We have so much to thank God for. We are nothing without Him.

60th birthday card from friend

side view
Front view

hi there!
Today I want to show you a fabulous card I got from my dear friend Patti Jo.
I just love it and how it sits. It's not my birthday until the 15th but I am so impatient when I get a parcel. Especially when it comes all the way from the USA. Yes! next Tuesday I will be a spritely 60 years old. I have photographed it twice to show how it sits. How neat is that? Thanks so much Patto Jo. You can see Patti Jo's blog

pink Haze

Hi there!

Today I have made a very pink card using the new spellbinders Labels six.
Down the sides I used the Spellbinders Grand 12" Classic lace border and just had half of it showing.
The flower was made from Penny flowers called a Double Daisy. It has a fringing in the middle.
The box is decorated with the cutout of a Spellbinders Scalloped oval and I just added Cuttlebug corner dies to it in the same colour.

Porcelain frame

Another beautiful day on the Sunshine Coast.
Today I want to show you an example of a frame I did on a card
using Dimensional Magic. This is my first attempt so it could be improved upon.
I think next time I would use plain cardstock rather than textured as it showed through. I photographed it like this to show the shine. If you want a close up of any of the photo's just double click on them.

Card for my name sake

I just finished this card for my dear Aunt Marion who has had a stroke.
She lives in New Zealand so I am unable to see her.
I love these spellbinder frames. I also used the Cuttle bug corners.
The flowers are called Liliums. I coloured the inside of them with a deeper pink and then added the stamen's.

Ornament

Hi everyone!
This is my take on Becca Feeken's beautiful ornaments.
Becca has kindly allowed me to copy her creation (mine is not quite like hers) and allowed me to put a Link to her blog. Click here
Thank you Becca.
This ornament was made using the Spellbinders In Spades Borderabilities and the Spellbinders Grand 12" Classic Lace Border. Next time I will make it a little different so that the back border stands higher like Becca's. They say practice makes perfect. They are so much fun to make. My next one will be a Christmas ornament.

Excited

I am so excited. My birthday present arrived to day.
A brand new camera to take clearer pictures of my cards.
As my birthday isn't until next month it is sitting unopened
on the piano. What a temptation. Am I learning patience?
Anyway I am now concentrating on how to take pictures
with nice white backgrounds. Hopefully from now on my cards will be much better presented.

Photographing

As you can see my photo's haven't been taken with a nice back drop.
The photo's I am putting on at the moment are ones that have been done earlier on. Once the new ones get put on I will be making sure that they are taken with a good back drop. I do think it makes all the difference to cards.

Green Lattice card

The Spellbinders Lattice Pendant and Borderabilities
was used to make this card.
I also used the Grand 12" Classic Lace Border with a ribbon threaded through it. I thought that went really well with the Lattice border.

Yellow Pendant card

Yet another spellbinders Pendant card.
This one is the In Spades again done in yellow. With the In Spades border
I just had half of it showing and backed it with another piece of cardstock
folded to make the card.

In the Pink

Another card from the new Spellbinders Pendants.
This one I used the In Spades Pendant and Borderabilities.

Dogwood flower

I made this card using the Dogwood flower from Susan Tierney Cockburn's book 'Paper Bouquet'
